2025-2026 co-op programs

Mandatory co-op programs

Students in the Hotel and Restaurant Management, Tourism Management and Culinary Management programs are required to complete 2 mandatory paid co-op placements totaling at least 600 hours:

• Co-op A: Completed in year 1, term 3 (begins in April) totaling 425 hours
• Co-op B: Completed in year 2, term 1 (begins in September) totaling 175 hours

Eligible co-op programs

NSCC offers over 50 eligible co-op programs with a co-operative education course during the spring/summer term. Co-op is a for-credit work experience completed between a student’s first and second year, requiring at least 12 weeks and 420 hours of paid employment.
