Parking enforcement

Student Parking at C200 and 180 Kings Road

  • An NSCC Student Parking Permit must be displayed in any vehicle that is parked in a Campus designated parking space on weekdays, between the hours of 7:30 am and 4 pm, at C200 and at 180 Kings Road.
  • If a permit is not displayed, a parking ticket will be issued by the CBRM.

Staff Parking at Sydney Waterfront Campus

  • Vehicles parked on campus on weekdays, between the hours of 7:30 am and 4 pm, need to display an NSCC Staff Parking Permit or you will be ticketed by the CBRM.

Please note: Vehicle users are encouraged to be aware and respectful of all parking guidelines and regulations, including of surrounding local businesses and the neighboring public.

Shuttle service

A shuttle bus service is available between the SWC C building entrance and the Centre 200 parking lot. The shuttle runs approximately every 20 - 30 minutes. To better align with class times, the campus shuttle will now be travelling between the Sydney Waterfront Campus and Centre 200 starting at 7:30 am and ending at 5 pm. The last shuttle will leave Sydney Waterfront Campus at 4:45 pm.

  • From Centre 200 - Access the shuttle from the designated bus shelter.
  • From SWC - Access the shuttle from the SWC C building (main entrance, Esplanade Street) at the designated bus stop. View campus map (PDF 284KB)

Public and active transportation

We encourage the use of sustainable alternatives including local public transportation, biking and carpooling. This is the advantage of our new central location.

  • Bike racks are located on campus near B, C, and D Buildings.
  • Visit Transit Cape Breton for bus schedules and route maps.

Visitor and accessible parking

Visitor and accessible parking, is available in the parking lot beside D Building. For accessible parking inquiries, please email us at
