- The confederacy of Mainland Mi’kmaq serves to proactively promote and assist Mi’kmaw communities’ initiatives toward self-determination and enhancement of community.
- Indigenous Skills and Employment Training (ISET) helps Indigenous women and gender-diverse individuals fully participate in economic opportunities.
- The East Preston Empowerment Academy (EPEA) - their mission is to assist people in upgrading their skills and qualifications for future employment and entrepreneurial pursuits
- Black Business Initiative - BBI is the longest serving Black business development initiative in Canada.
- The Black Beauty Culture Association is a nonprofit organization based out of East Preston, Nova Scotia. They want to empower black communities in Canada through training courses and community events that promote black beauty culture.
- Valley African Nova Scotian Development Association (VANSDA) has an Employment Services Centre located in Kentville and is designed to provide the best possible service and employment advice to residents of Kings County and other areas of Nova Scotia.

- Canadian Council on Rehabilitation and Work promotes and supports meaningful and equitable employment if person with disabilities.
- Community INC offers free employment programs to both job seekers and employers with a continued commitment to inclusive services for persons with disabilities.
- Easter Seals Nova Scotia provides individualized solutions to support inclusion and empower persons with disabilities.
- Prescott Group supports people with disabilities to enhance skills through meaningful relationships and work in our communities.
- Teamwork Cooperative offers different programs for people with disabilities like Career Link and MentorAbility.
- Neil Squire uses technology, knowledge and passion to empower Canadians with disabilities.
- InclusionNS has Ready, Willing & Able (RWA) that is a program that helps people with Intellectual Disability and Autism Spectrum Disorder find jobs.

- Trans Youth Mentorship Program (TYMP) builds and improves employment skills, access networks of support and be referred to community resources.
