Student experiences

As an NSCC student, you learn new things, meet new friends and gain the necessary skills to go out and make a positive impact on the world. By joining our clubs, volunteering with the Student Association or taking part in campus activities, you'll enhance your overall postsecondary experience, learning more about yourself and give back to your NSCC community. We provide: 

• Engaging leadership opportunities on campus - through club memberships, Student Association involvement, campus housing assistant work, Student Wellness Champions and more. We provide the opportunity to strengthen and gain leadership skills in a variety of settings while making new friends and contributing to the campus. Plus you'll learn great skills through training, make valuable connections with our staff and faculty, along with learning about yourself. 
• Volunteer experiences - all of our clubs and activities are volunteer-based and provide a variety of fun and valuable experiences created by students for students. We support the campus food bank and work in partnership with the Student Wellness Champions to raise understanding and break stigma around mental health.  
• Extra-curricular activities - some of our activities include: scavenger hunts, concerts, active living programs, guest speakers, trivia and open-mic nights and more.

Our Student Life team exists to help you get involved and make the most of your time at NSCC, build your resume and your life skills. We value our student contributions made through leadership and engagement on campus through our annual Student Life Appreciation awards program each year. You won't want to miss out.
