About Stacey

  • Stacey joined NSCC in 2007 after a 13-year career in journalism, drawn to the College’s mission and its determination to be recognized as a first-choice post-secondary option that meets people where they are with programming and expertise designed to help them reach their goals.
  • Over the past 19 years, Stacey has taken on progressive leadership responsibilities and roles, most recently serving as Director of the Public Affairs team, accountable for stewarding and strengthening NSCC’s brand and reputation.
  • Stacey has built strong working relationships across the College and has developed a deep understanding of its operations – from strategic priorities to communications and community engagement.
  • Stacey is known for her strategic insight, her thoughtfulness, and her genuine care for people, community, and the College mission.

About Andrew

  • Andrew Lafford boasts over two decades of unwavering dedication to advancing post-secondary education. After completing his studies, Andrew embarked on a career in Software Development within the health services industry, where he discovered a passion for nurturing the next generation of professionals through his knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • In 2007, Andrew joined NSCC as a Curriculum Consultant, marking the beginning of an 18-year journey filled with impactful contributions. Throughout his tenure, he has held various progressive roles, each characterized by his steadfast commitment to educational excellence.
  • Through his visionary leadership, Andrew continues to shape the educational landscape, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an ever-evolving world.

About Jill

  • Jill joined NSCC in 2006 as Coordinator of the African Canadian Transition Program. Since then, she’s held progressively senior roles within the College, including Dean, School of Access and Executive Director, Human Rights, Equity and Inclusion. In December 2021, Jill was named Acting Vice-President, Academic and in 2022 became Vice-President Academic. In June 2024, she became Vice-President, Equity and International.
  • Jill was named Vice-President, Campuses and Communities in May 2026.
  • Jill is passionate about post-secondary education as a pathway to opportunity and career readiness, fostered through NSCC's vibrant campus communities. As a bi-racial leader with a strong commitment to diversity, inclusion and Reconciliation, she champions NSCC's role as Nova Scotia's workforce trainer and a key driver of economic growth and community prosperity. Her leadership is guided by the belief that equity and excellence go hand in hand, ensuring all learners have the opportunity to succeed and are well prepared to thrive in the careers, workplaces and communities of tomorrow.
