Supports and services
Students who self-identify as part of the 2SLGBTQ+ community can access a range of supports and services designed to foster connection, inclusion, and success throughout their academic journey. These offerings provide opportunities to ask questions, explore resources, and build a sense of belonging on and off campus.
Available supports and services include:
- Workshops promoting awareness and education of 2SLGBTQ+ communities and navigating issues such as homophobia and transphobia.
- Access to community resources both on-campus and within the broader community to support well-being and personal development.
- Support and advocacy for pronoun and name changes, identity and gender expression.
- Opportunities for connection and community building with other 2SLGBTQ+ students including engagement with campus Gender Sexuality Alliances (GSAs).
- Participation in events and experiences celebrating 2SLGBTQ+ communities.
- Guidance for applying to NSCC awards, scholarships and bursaries for 2SLGBTQ+ students.

Awards for 2SLGBTQ+ students
We offer more than $5 million in awards, scholarships and bursaries each year. Funded by donors, partners and sponsors through NSCC Foundation, awards are granted based on a range of criteria such as financial need, leadership, volunteer experience and career interests.
