L'nu and Indigenous student supports
L’nu/Indigenous students can access a range of supports and services designed to foster connection, inclusion, and success throughout their academic journey. These offerings provide opportunities to ask questions, explore resources, and build a sense of belonging on and off campus.
Available supports and services include:
- College and career exploration and preparation
- Help with your NSCC application process.
- Connection with financial planning and funding opportunities including NSCC awards, scholarships and bursaries available for L’nu Indigenous students.
- Access to culturally-responsive tutoring, counselling and other learning and student supports.
- Opportunities for connection and community building with other L'nu Indigenous students.
- Opportunities to participate in gatherings, events and experiences celebrating L’nu Indigenous culture, heritage and communities.

Tutoring for Mi'kmaw and Indigenous students
NSCC students have access to tutoring at no cost, including culturally-responsive tutoring through the Indigenous Student Success Tutoring Program. This program is funded by Mi’kmaw Kina’matnewey.
Awards for Mi'kmaw and Indigenous students
We offer more than $5 million in awards, scholarships and bursaries each year. Funded by donors, partners and sponsors through NSCC Foundation, awards are granted based on a range of criteria such as financial need, leadership, volunteer experience and career interests.
