Landscaping Technician

About the Position

Gushue’s Landscaping is a family-oriented business, and we are looking for a motivated and positive hard worker. The ideal candidate would have experience in softscaping, pruning, weeding and garden maintenance. Our company offers a positive working environment, the opportunity to grow with our expanding company, competitive wages, bonuses and benefits. The wage will be based on experience. We do a variety of landscaping projects, however the main focus for this position would be taking care of the gardening, weeding, pruning and softscape jobs.

The ideal candidate will be a Positive Team Player who can work safely and responsibly, with eager participation and initiative.

• Comply with all company policies and regulations and local health and safety regulations.
• Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (steel toe boots, work gloves and safety glasses).
• Communicate with clients in a polite, professional, and courteous demeanor.
• Maintain standards of cleanliness and organization with equipment on the job site.
• Assist in lawn and garden maintenance. 

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year landscaping experience or equivalent in a landscape technician program.
• Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
• Must have acute attention to detail.
• Must perform work quickly and efficiently, demanding excellence in quality of work.
• Ability to walk, stand, and crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
• Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, and materials.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs repeatedly throughout an entire work shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold. Also, you must come prepared with weather appropriate clothing!
