About the Position

Summary

The Millwright/Industrial Mechanic position is based out of the Cap-Pelé location. Working with the maintenance team, he/she would be contributing to the company’s objectives in the areas of production, health and safety, customer satisfaction and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and assist in all preventative maintenance planning at Cape Bald/Downeast and responsible for daily activities related to maintenance operations.
• Attend various operations meetings.
• Contribute to BRC documentation and processes within the Maintenance department.
• Demonstrate commitment to safe working practices by promoting health and safety in the workplace in accordance with procedures and policies in place.
• With support from the Maintenance Manager, ensure a proper preventative maintenance program is in place and followed.
• On-call rotation as a member of the Maintenance team.  

Qualifications

Ideal Qualifications:

• Completed Millwright / Industrial Mechanic diploma; 
• Related experience;
• Electrical knowledge would be an asset;
• Strong knowledge of safe working practices and quality;
• Possess experience and understanding of refrigeration systems as well as mechanical production line equipment would be an asset;
• Results oriented;
• Bilingualism would be an asset.  

There is no LMIA for this role so candidates must be PR or Canadian Citizens.
