Licensed Practical Nurse - Full Time & Part Time (0.8 FTE)

About the role: Imagine working with autonomy and practicing to full scope while building meaningful connections with your clients. As a VON nurse, you'll deliver holistic person-centered care to children, youth, adults, seniors, and support their families. You'll have the opportunity to work in clients' homes, in our clinics, virtually, and engage in community outreach. What you'll do:          

• Client assessments        
• Provide primary care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals        
• Medication administration       
• Wound care        
• Chronic Disease Management, e.g. diabetes care and education       
• Specimen collection        
• Rehabilitative programs        
• Palliative Care      
• And many other critical nursing skills

Qualifications

What we're looking for:     

• Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the province of practice        
• Community health experience is an asset       
• Must enjoy driving, have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle        
• A current and original copy of a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Search and Child Abuse Registry Check required       
• Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
