This course aims to introduce students to the mandatory rules for ships operating in polar waters. This regulation is developed by the International Maritime Organization to enhance the safe operation of ships and mitigate the impact on people and the environment in polar waters.
Condition: Certificate of Master, Chief mate or Officer in charge of qualified navigation watch accrdnce with Rules II/1, II/2, II/3 of STCW Convention OR enrol in approved marine nav cadet prgrm such as NSCC's Marine Navigation Technology diploma
