NSCC celebrates 25 years of its Screen Arts program at AIFF

Halifax, NS – For 25 years, Nova Scotia Community College's (NSCC) Screen Arts program has helped train the skilled workforce behind Nova Scotia's film industry. To celebrate this milestone, the NSCC Screen Arts 25th Anniversary Screening will be shown as part of the Atlantic International Film Festival (AIFF). The screening will showcase early student films from some of the program’s most accomplished alumni, offering a rare look at the projects where many industry careers first began.

  • Who: Members of the community are invited; registration is required due to limited seating
  • Where: Theatre 5 at Cineplex Cinemas Park Lane, 5657 Spring Garden Road, Halifax

"Over the past 25 years, the College’s Screen Arts program has produced over 400 graduates who form a vital part of the film and television industry in Nova Scotia and beyond. Hundreds of alumni work in every part of the industry to entertain, enlighten, and grow the creative economy of Nova Scotia. We are proud to highlight the breadth of talent of our filmmakers who honed their skills with us through this special screening," says Chris Campbell, NSCC Screen Arts faculty.

NSCC delivers career-oriented programs aligned with industry needs to nurture students who graduate ready to enter the workforce. The film industry is booming across Nova Scotia, with the growth in films continuing to trend upwards.
