Oct. 02, 2025 – Media Release
Halifax, NS – A total of 10,843 students were enrolled in certificate, diploma, advanced diploma and graduate certificate programs at Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) campuses across the province as of October 1 − the annual date for the College’s official milestone enrolment count.
"Our official enrolment count aligns with the College’s 2025-26 program plan. We offer programs that directly respond to the needs and demands of the province’s rapidly changing economy for skilled professionals across the province," says Andrew Lafford, Vice President, Academic. "Most recent years have seen an increase in demand for trades and health programming. We are proud to welcome students into our wide variety of programming and continue our focus on driving economic transformation and enhancing quality of life in Nova Scotia."
Over the course of the full academic year, it is anticipated that NSCC will welcome over 22,000 students through the College's full suite of 2025-26 offerings. This encompasses apprenticeship, continuing education, customized training and continuous intake.
The College’s 2025-26 program plan allowed for the delivery of over 130+ program offerings which match the needs and demands of the province’s rapidly changing economy.
NSCC conducts a follow-up survey with our graduates each year and those results show that 90% are employed, most in their field of study, with 93% of those employed living and working in Nova Scotia. These students are living the mission of the College: through education and innovation, they're growing the province’s economy and quality of life.
Offers of admission for 2026-27 academic year will begin in early November. Applicants are encouraged to apply early to increase the likelihood of securing their program of choice.
