We are seeking multiple Cabinet Makers to join our growing team. Operating for over 30 years in Mount Uniacke, NS, Custom Millwork Atlantic Inc., has built a solid reputation for producing the highest quality custom cabinetry, architectural woodwork, and custom moldings and trim for commercial, high-end multi-unit residential, industrial, institutional, Health Care and retail spaces.

The work you will do:

We are hiring multiple skilled Cabinet Makers to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing the full cycle of cabinetry production at all stages of the process. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering high- quality craftsmanship and working on custom projects.

  • Construction and Assembly:
    • Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, plans, and specifications to build materials.
    • Select appropriate materials, including wood, veneers, and hardware.
    • Measure, cut, shape, and prepare materials using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
    • Assemble custom cabinets, furniture, and millwork including frames, doors etc. using joinery techniques and equipment.
  • Ensure all pieces meet design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Trim or reinforce joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit.
  • Solid surface fabrication for countertops and architectural features.
  • Clean and lubricate machinery and equipment and perform regular maintenance.   
  • Load/unload trucks and handle construction materials.
  • Follow all safety procedures and promote a safe work environment.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in woodworking and cabinetry or a related trade 
  • Trade certification (i.e. Cabinetry, Carpentry, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, tools, and materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret Shop drawings, blueprints, sketches, and design specifications.
  • Proficiency with woodworking machinery, including saws, routers, and planers
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Public transportation is not available.
  • Must be willing and able to successfully achieve WHMIS, First Aid, Forklift, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training certificates.
