Essential Skills for College

Course overview

This course is designed to help you improve your reading, writing, and/or math skills needed for college, apprenticeship programs, and employment. This course also offers preparation for students taking pre-acceptance assessment tests for core NSCC programs. In addition to core skill development this course will also help develop a set of essential skills that will help you be successful in a post-secondary environment, such as: effective studying and note taking, research and presentation skills, and critical thinking skills.
