Applying to the Radio Television Journalism program? The program’s admission requirements include a virtual interview where you’ll:

  • Meet with Faculty from the RTJ program.

Your virtual interview helps NSCC evaluate your abilities to ensure you have a reasonable probability of success in this program.

Scheduling your interview

Once your application has been accepted, the School of Business and Creative Industries will email you to schedule your interview and send you a questionnaire which you must complete and submit in advance.

  • Interviews take place virtually through Microsoft teams.
  • The interview will be approximately 1 hour long.
  • Faculty will ask you the following 2 questions (and possibly some follow-up questions):
    • Why do you think you’ll be a good fit for this program?

  • If your interview is unsuccessful, deficiencies will be noted and you'll be given the opportunity to address them and re-submit your application, if time permits.

Submitting your questionnaire

Upon scheduling your interview, you’ll receive a questionnaire via email to fill out. You must reply to the email in advance of your interview with your completed questionnaire.
