About the Position

Salty Rose's and the Periwinkle Cafe (@periwinklecafe) on the famous Cabot Trail in gorgeous Ingonish is a bustling locally sourced cafe as well as jewelry studio, art & craft shop and inn.  We will be entering our 9th (!) season on June 1st and are looking for an enthusiastic and organized person to fill the crucial role of Kitchen Manager for our small but mighty kitchen team.  If you are passionate about simple, beautiful food, enjoy independence and creativity in the workplace, and have some top-notch organization/leadership skills this could be the dream role for you!

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Placing and receiving weekly orders from multiple providers.

Stock management.

Food preparation as well as fulfilling breakfast and lunch orders for a busy cafe (operating hours are 9am to 5pm plus events).

Weekly scheduling of a small team.

Menu development as well as cost analysis.
