Job description
Duties- Perform maintenance and repairs on various types of heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, and loaders- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine the best course of action for repair- Disassemble and reassemble equipment components as needed- Operate heavy equipment for testing and diagnostic purposes- Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications- Red Seal certification in Heavy Duty Equipment Technician- Proven experience as a mechanic with heavy equipment repair- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components- Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment a plus- Proficient in the use of hand tools and diagnostic equipment- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
