The Opportunity: There is an immediate need at our client’s Hantsport/Windsor, NS location for a full time, Procurement Coordinator. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team, who provide procurement services for the manufacturing plant.
The Ideal Candidate: We are seeking someone who is confident, outgoing, comfortable working within a small team + eager to add value by becoming a knowledgeable + impactful team member. With a background in procurement/purchasing, the successful candidate is someone who is comfortable working under time sensitive deadlines, along with having stellar attention to detail.
Responsibilities: Purchasing Administration issuing requisitions + purchase orders for raw materials + chemicals. Management of JIT inventories for raw materials + chemicals. Buy/Sell product arrangements. Buyer for Office Supplies. Prepares monthly management commodity/ raw materials market reports. Maintains databases/spreadsheets for supplier increases + contracts. Administers the cell phone account. Administers the Purchasing Card Program. Performs general purchasing administrative duties, as required. Logistics Payables. Assisting with the yearly Procurement Budget. Ad hoc Procurement Projects + analysis.
Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Procurement or equivalent education + experience. Open to continuing your education + overall enhancement skills by taking training + related courses. Ability to interact with both internal + external stakeholders/partners for cross functional initiatives + support. Advanced skills in Excel + other Microsoft applications. Ability to take initial direction + work independently to produce results (be proactive).Highly organized, have exceptional time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously. Strong verbal + written communication skills.
