Overview:
This full-time employment opportunity is tailored for current students in their first year of NSCC’s Business Administration diploma programs who are actively pursuing a co-op placement and intend to return to NSCC full-time for the 2024/2025 academic year. The Special Projects Assistant will play a crucial role in providing administrative and logistical support for NSCC Career & Employment Services, a division of Central Student & Career Services. The position allows for remote work with the possibility of some on-campus tasks, requiring the candidate to have their own remote office setup.
Assist in developing marketing strategies and tactics to support project objectives. This could involve collaborating with marketing teams to create promotional materials, advertising campaigns, or social media content related to the project.

Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive administrative and logistical support for various projects and programs within Career & Employment Services.
• Prepare and organize correspondence, perform data entry, and undertake word processing functions. Generate reports, and create a variety of documents as required.
• Conduct research to develop resources and information for students and employer partners.
• Assisting project managers in various aspects of project planning, execution, and monitoring. This could involve creating project plans, tracking progress against milestones, and helping to ensure that projects stay on schedule and within budget.
Qualifications:
• Strong communication skills, with experience in business writing standards and a high level of English spelling and grammar proficiency.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Experience in researching information online and summarizing findings in an Executive Summary and report format.
• Proficiency in MS Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint. Strong database management skills, with experience using MS Planner, Sharepoint, Excel, and other databases.
• Possess a dedicated workspace for remote work, the ability to maintain confidentiality of records, and consistent internet access.
• Fundamental Marketing skills to support the promotion of the program internally and externally.
