About the Position

Job Summary

Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to customers by providing on-site installation, customer training, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of our products in an efficient and timely manner.

Key Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Perform field service repairs
  • Install and setup equipment as required
  • Provide end-user training as required
  • Perform planned maintenance on warranty and contract equipment as required
  • Provide feedback on possible sales opportunities
  • Ensure inventory is accurate and kept up to date. Perform regular inventory counts
  • Represent the company in a positive manner
  • Support and assist other technicians as needed
  • Be available for after-hours on-call service when needed
  • Provide end-user telephone support
  • Attend training as required
  • Maintain a service vehicle.
  • Monitor the service forum and be an active participant in it
  • Keep current on technical service news bulletins and new products
  • Able to work in shifts. Overnight stays out of town may be required occasionally. Early starts are typical
  • Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools and equipment

 

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Must enjoy traveling and working out in the field
  • Must be able to work effectively with minimal or no supervision
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • Must have a solid mechanical aptitude and a good understanding of electrical schematics and electronics
  • Experience in a technical role with a high level of customer interaction is preferred
  • Competent in Excel, Access, and Word programs
  • Advanced network computer skills
  • Hands-on experience in software, hardware, and peripheral devices
  • Working knowledge of Multimedia systems, LAN, and Wireless networks
  • Read schematics and technical manuals
  • Exposure to general networking protocols, specifically TCP/IP
  • Working knowledge of point-of-sale systems is preferable
  • Bend, crawl, and kneel to access areas requiring repair or installation
