QUALIFICATIONS: - Understands early childhood development and able to provide an enriching program to enhance young children’s learning through a child lead, play-based, emergent curriculum, drawing heavily from the Nova Scotia Childcare Curriculum Framework: Capable, Confident, and Curious. - Work both independently and collaboratively with center administration, co-workers, families and other participating members and partners. - Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, well-being, safety, and security of children. - Practices a sensitive, caring, and individualized approach to teaching that meets the needs of each child in a variety of ways, considering aspects of a child’s life, family culture, and how they learn. - Teaching practices that help meet the emotional, social, and physical needs of the children.
