About the Position

Scotian Gold Cooperative Limited is currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their Maintenance Team.  Reporting directly to the Facilities Maintenance Manager, the successful applicant will provide hands-on supervision of a small maintenance team to provide service and maintenance of automated production equipment including electronic sorting equipment and associated conveying and handling systems, weighing, bagging and bulk handling equipment, automation, robotics, and general requirements at Scotian Gold.

·       Repair, adjust or maintain industrial production equipment that primarily operates on mechanical and electronic principles.

·       Closely monitor a PM system for production equipment.

·       Plan and Co-ordinate closely with Production to ensure pre-sort and packing operations are adequately maintained and in good running order.

·       Maintain work order tracking system keeping track of activities.

·       Lead by example and actively participate in maintenance tasks alongside your team.

·       Participate in training and any off-site maintenance jobs as required by Scotian Gold.

·       Support safety initiatives and ensure compliance to site safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

·        Certification holder or suitable experience in related field.

·        Ability to troubleshoot and maintain Electrical and Electronic systems.

·        Knowledge of PLC Controls and Logic.

·        Good understanding of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems and the ability to integrate with automated processes.

·        Experience in robotics considered an asset.

·        Ability to multi-task and work with attention to detail and accuracy.

·        A dedicated team player that works effectively with peers and production personnel.

·        Valid Drivers Licence is required.

·        Ability to troubleshoot and maintain Mechanical, Electrical and Electronic Systems.

·        2-3 years of supervisory or mentoring experience preferred 

·        Available Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 5 pm (occasional overtime when required)
