Hearing and Speech Nova Scotia (HSNS), provides audiology services to Nova Scotians of all ages, and speech-language pathology services to preschool children and adults. HSNS is funded by the NS Government to deliver integrated and standardized provincial services across 35 clinical sites, located in 25 communities. Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists, with support from Communication Disorders Technicians and Administrative Support Professionals, provide hearing and speech services, develop and monitor provincial clinical standards, and collaborate with partners to deliver a number of special programs. Established in 1963, HSNS works to prevent and reduce the impact of communication disorders for Nova Scotians.

HSNS is accepting applications for the position of a regular full-time 1.0 FTE Administrative Assistant (Quality Assistant) to provide administrative support for managers and to support quality improvement initiatives, including EMR training and audit.
Reporting to the Director, Pediatric and Autism Hearing and Speech Services, and in collaboration with the HSNS management team, the successful candidate will be responsible for data management and reporting (key performance indicators, quality improvement data, ad hoc and customized reports), support of quality improvement initiatives, administrative supports for managers (data gathering, information management, performance management supports,) and staff EMR training and follow-up (EMR orientation and training of new staff/students, audits, tracking of EMR issues). The successful candidate will work as part of team of administrative assistants to support operations within the Provincial Centre; cross coverage of duties will be required.
This position may involve travel throughout Nova Scotia and requires flexibility in work scheduling. The regular schedule is 5 days per week, 7 hours per day. Salary range is $40,859 - $51,073 annually.
