The Position:

We are seeking a highly attentive and detail-oriented professional who is adept at concurrent priorities. Our ideal candidate is self-motivated and organized. This role will support our general counsel, in all of our practice areas, and will have the opportunity to experience many areas of law.

 

Job Responsibilities:

The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Set up, organize, file, and maintain paper and electronic filing systems in accordance with recognized procedures and standards.
  • Prepare, edit, and format legal and management documents and reports.
  • Compile, proofread and revise drafts of legal documents and reports.
  • Manage correspondence for the legal department, such as emails, letters, packages, and phone calls.
  • Assist in preparing for client meetings discussing potential problems or researching additional information needed for contract negotiations and/or projects.
  • Create and organize information and generate reference tools for easy access.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate appointments, conferences, meetings, and travel arrangements for the legal department.
  • Prepare and process expense reports.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Currently working towards post secondary education in paralegal services, law, administration, or other related field.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Ability to grasp and interpret legal documents.
  • Excellent technical abilities for various computer programs (i.e., Office 365 programs, Docusign, etc.).
  • Skilled in planning, executing, and improving work processes to achieve business goals. 
  • Exceptional organization skills with the ability to multi-task, stay focused, and self-manage. 
  • Project management skills related to contract management such as notetaking, task generation, organization, delegation, and prioritization.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical thinker with detailed research proficiencies.
  • Able to adapt to changing priorities and demands.
