MVS Canada is looking for a motivated and ambitious Co-op Student to join our team this summer. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with our Operations and Sales teams to help with various tasks and projects.
A homegrown maritime company, MVS has over 30+ years of vehicle shipping experience. MVS was built by a local university graduate here in Halifax and can be counted as a success story of local business growth and development. We are looking for a motivated individual who would like to learn and be supported in a role that will lead to growth opportunities in the local logistics and operations sector.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with creating and executing email marketing plans and campaigns to increase brand awareness.
Assisting Sales Departments with customer relations by phone and email.
Coordinating between departments in resolving day-to-day administrative & operational issues as they arise.
Develop and manage digital marketing campaigns.
Monitor and analyze the success of campaigns and strategies.
Research and identify new marketing opportunities.
Assist with creating promotional materials such as flyers, brochures and product information sheets.
Create content for websites and social media accounts.
Assist with market research and data analysis.
Requirements:
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office/Google Docs
Understanding of the transportation and logistics industry is an asset but not required.
