Delta Hotels by Marriott Dartmouth is a newly renovated, full-service property located in the Burnside / City of Lakes Business Park. A corporate class hotel that provides modern design, incorporating pride of place, the amenities today’s traveler requires and an ethos of exceptional guest service. We are currently seeking a full-time, permanent Banquet Supervisor to join our team. Reporting to the Banquet Manager, the Banquet Supervisor will provide food & beverage service, will setup and cleanup of meeting rooms for business and social functions.
Reporting to the Banquet Manager, the successful candidate will actively participate and supervise Banquet staff in all aspects of servicing the hotel’s Banquet Department. Working in tandem with the Banquet Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for preparing and leading the banquet team at all junctions from pre-event to service to post event including food/beverage setup of meeting rooms for business and social functions. The role of the Supervisor is required to actively participate in providing guest solutions and consistently exceed guest expectations for service delivery. The Supervisor role is a leadership role within the F&B department and is engaged with the team to bring forward creative suggestions and solutions for guests and other associates. The role is primarily shift based that are typically, but not limited to, afternoons, evenings and weekends depending on business volumes.
The ideal candidate is a motivated, high performance team player, with strong work ethic and the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be highly organized, have great attention to detail, possess excellent verbal / written communication skills and have the proven ability to plan and prioritize. Some lifting would be required. The desire to deliver exceptional service to our hotel clients is fundamental to success. Previous hotel food/beverage/bar experience is required for this opportunity. You will also manage bar inventory.
