Seeking a career where every day is different, and every day is rewarding? Consider Continuing Care! Igility/Health Association Nova Scotia is partnering with the Department of Seniors and Long-Term Care to support the recruitment of LPNs and other healthcare workers across Nova Scotia.

Are you a well-rounded professional, pursuing a challenging career with the chance to grow and make a real difference? There are many available positions in long term care for LPNs who have a passion for working with seniors, or with home nursing, where you will provide care to people of all ages in their homes and other community settings.

As a LPN, you will function as a member of the inter-disciplinary team within the long-term care facility or the home, as well as assisting and supporting CCAs and other healthcare staff as required. You must have a sincere passion and commitment to providing quality services for seniors.

RESPONSIBILITIES: (Long-Term Care)

• Resident checks and rounds
• Medication administration
• Resident personal care (may include feeding/assistance, bowel care, dressing, wound care, blood work) Resident, family, and staff support   

RESPONSIBILITIES: (Homecare) 

• Diabetes management        
• Dialysis       
• Medication management         
• Palliative care         
• Phlebotomy       
• Wound care

Qualifications

CORE REQUIREMENTS:

• Current License (or eligible for license) with the Nova Scotia College of Nurses
• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is required (Homecare)
• First Aid and CPR
