Medical Lab Technologist opportunity now available at the Lillooet Hospital & Health Centre!

As the Laboratory Technologist you will work independently within our supportive and small team environment, providing vital Lab services to both inpatients and outpatients from the community and surrounding areas. This is a generalist Lab position and offers interesting and varied work within across all areas of Core Lab.
Typical duties may include: routine and/or complex tests utilizing manual procedures and automated instruments, greeting patients, collecting and/or receiving specimens, entering data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS), validating/reporting test results, maintaining instruments and preparing solutions and control agents.
This is a permanent full time position. Shift types are days and evenings and shift times are: 07:00 to 15:00, 09:00 to 17:00, 17:00 to 07:00, 07:30 to 07:00 hours with participation in the on-call out of hours. Occasional coverage at nearby sites may be required. The Lillooet Hospital & Health Centre is a Level 1 Community Hospital, located in Lillooet in the Fraser Canyon, the hospital offers services including a 24 hour emergency department.
