About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and creative student(s) to join our team for a summer placement as an entry-level graphic / multimedia designer to assist in producing engaging and visually appealing online training assets. You will collaborate with our production team as a designer to develop interactive and engaging digital and print materials. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with the project team to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Design and develop graphics, illustrations, and multimedia elements that enhance the visual appeal and effectiveness of our online training platform.
  • Ensure that the visual design and user interface align with the organization's branding guidelines and instructional design best practices.
  • Maintain organized file management and version control to ensure smooth collaboration and efficient workflow.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary co-op program in graphic and or multimedia design,·       Proficiency in using design tools such as Canvas, Adobe Creative Suite (Captivate, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Solid understanding of design principles, typography, colour theory, and visual communication.
  • Basic knowledge of instructional design principles and e-learning technologies.
  • Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team.
  • A desire to learn el-earning best practices.
  • A Solid understanding of any of the following screen capture and video editing software:           
    • Camtasia
    • Adobe Captivate
    • ScreenFlow (If using MacOS) 

Basic knowledge or familiarity with(optional but beneficial):           

  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Articulate Rise/Storyline
  • Adobe Audition           

Additional Skills (Advantageous):           

  • Experience in scriptwriting or instructional design for clear, user-friendly tutorials.
