Course overview
This course is for new entrants to the marine industry who want to safely supervise the transfer of crude and refined oils from a barge to a shore facility, and a barge to another barge or vessel. This first level of training offers students knowledge and skills in personal safety, fire hazards, basic vessel maintenance, and identifying pumps and pipelines onboard a vessel.
Condition: Students must provide a marine medical certificate, Restricted Radio Operators certificate and Marine Emergency Duties Basic Safety certificate.
