Solar panels have now been installed on the roof of Akerley Campus' new student housing.
The 100-bed, 48,000 sq ft. student housing facility at Akerley Campus will open in September 2024. As construction crews continue to bring the suites and amenities together inside, here’s a look at the latest progress happening on-site.
The latest progress:
Exterior:
- Front awning and curtain wall is now complete
- Rooftop solar panel installation is nearing completion
- Landscaping will resume as weather permits
Interior:
- All suites are substantially complete with painting, flooring, ceiling tiles, bathroom fixtures and kitchen cabinets installed
- Kitchen appliances are on-site and installation is underway
- Door hardware installed in most suites
- Furnishings are scheduled to be delivered by the end of March
- Hallway carpet tile installation is underway
- Front lobby finishes are in progress
