NSCC celebrates fall graduates at Marconi Campus

Oct. 18, 2022 – Media Release

Sydney, N.S. — Nova Scotia Community College (NSCC) is holding a special fall convocation on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, at 6 p.m. at Marconi Campus to celebrate fall graduates.

The celebration is one of five regional ceremonies honouring graduates of the Class of 2022 whose program extended beyond the academic year due to pandemic disruptions. The celebration was originally scheduled for earlier in the month but was postponed once more due to Hurricane Fiona.

“Convocation is the culmination of our students’ hard work, determination and perseverance,” says NSCC President Don Bureaux. “It’s an honour to be able to finally mark this important achievement as our graduates turn the page on this chapter of their lives and start a new and exciting one. Their next steps will assuredly leave lasting footprints on our communities, our province and beyond.”

The ceremony will be held at the campus at 1240 Grand Lake Road in Sydney. More information and an event program can be found at nscc.ca/convocation.
