A highlight of the 2025-2026 academic year at the IT Campus Library has been an increase in passive programming. These programs are simple, fun activities hosted in the library, often intended as a brain break for students and staff to take part in on their free time. Since September, more than 15 unique programs have been offered, with plenty more planned for the spring term.

Since it’s not always possible for everyone in the campus community to come together, passive programs are a chance for everyone and anyone on campus to participate. Many of this year’s programming highlights have included collaborative and community focused elements, like contributing pieces for the library’s first poetry zine, making holiday cards for local seniors, and building the ultimate study playlist.

Library regulars and newbies alike are invited to stop by, check out what’s on offer, and join in. Passive programming is always available in the NSCC IT Campus Library.
