Earn while you learn

The RBC Student Works Program provides paid, on-campus work experience for students that aligns with classroom learning and the learning outcomes of the student’s program. This is available at Lunenburg, Burridge, Annapolis Valley, Kingstec, Truro, Cumberland, Pictou and Strait Area Campuses to support rural NSCC students in financial need.

Job Readiness Fund

In addition to paid work opportunities, students can also access our Job Readiness Program, which provides extra supports, professional development or career training to be better prepared for the workforce.

Examples of support include:

  • Licensing exams
  • Industry inspections
  • Tools
  • Conferences with industry experts
  • Networking opportunities
  • Specialized training workshops
  • Mentoring
  • Additional technology and equipment

RBC donation to expand Student Works Program

On October 26, 2022, the RBC Foundation donated $200,000 over two years to support the RBC Student Works Program and expand it to eight rural campuses.
