Supporting student need and program innovation
Rapid Response addresses the immediate and emerging needs of students at each of our 14 campuses through channels like direct financial aid, expanded support programs and investments in learning equipment. Through Rapid Response, donors support initiatives such as Cost of Living Bursaries, food security, dedicated supports for equity-deserving students, the purchase of laptops for NSCC’s Laptop Loan Program, upgrades to critical learning equipment and more.
Rapid Response Stories
After rediscovering his passion for the environment, Mitchell returned to school with a tight budget. When he needed support the most, he received the Black and African Nova Scotian Cost of Living Bursary, funded by Rapid Response.
With help from NSCC's Emergency Wildfire Bursary funded by Rapid Response, Darian continued her education after losing her home to wildfires. Now, she's rebuilding her life and pursuing her dream of being an early childhood educator.
