NSCC to lead Atlantic Hub for national entrepreneurship and commercialization network

We’re excited to share that NSCC has received $5 million in federal funding over the next five years to lead the Atlantic Hub of the College-University Lab to Market Network, a national initiative supporting student and researcher-driven innovation.

Led by Red River Polytechnic, this new network is designed to help researcher-entrepreneurs turn their ideas into real-world solutions through hands-on experience, training and mentorship. With a focus on commercialization, Indigenous entrepreneurship and equity of access, this initiative empowers the next generation of innovators to bring their ideas to market, or even take market needs back to the lab.

As the lead for the Atlantic Hub, NSCC will coordinate programming and funding for partner institutions including CNA, NBCC, SMU, MSVU and others.

First program offering: Technology Readiness Level-Up

The first opportunity available to students and alumni through this initiative is Technology Readiness Level-Up (TRL) - a 4-month, hands-on program that places participants in college research environments. This is your chance to grow your venture, build your skillset and connect with an innovation-driven network that’s here to help you succeed.
