Solar Data Nova Scotia

The Applied Energy Research team used their expertise in solar technology, data analytics, database construction and web-design to develop - solardatans.ca. In this multi-partner, collaborative initiative, AER built an accessible web interface that provides access to real-time and archived solar production data. Solar Data Nova Scotia collects data on solar electricity generation from solar arrays across the province and makes this information available for research and public education. Access to near-real-time values for electricity production from the photovoltaic arrays distributed across the province will make it possible to see, understand, and eventually forecast distributed solar energy output as a contributor to the electricity grid.
