When it comes to paying for your nautical training, there are many funding options.

Recognizing the significant financial, social and cultural barriers that women and Indigenous Peoples face when pursuing post-secondary education, this bursary will help offset educational costs, ultimately encouraging greater participation in marine training and careers.

Open to full-time students who will be enrolled in year 2 or 3 of Marine Engineering Technology or any year of Marine Engineering Management Technology at NSCC Strait Area Campus.

There are many award opportunities and financial support options available at NSCC. Once a student is confirmed in a program, they will gain access to the Student Awards Portal and will be able to review award opportunities recommended for them based on their program, campus and other information provided.

If you don’t qualify for a government student loan, or if you require further funding, you may be eligible for a student line of credit through a bank or private lending organization.
