May Updates

It’s great to feel the sun’s warmth and watch nature flourish as we move towards summer. May has been active for our community with the wrap-up of NSCC’s 25th anniversary, adding to the nostalgia that many alumni share this time of year. This month, we’re offering FREE learning, exclusive promotions, and networking opportunities. We’re also hiring a full-time Gift Processing & Foundation Administrator! If you or someone you know is great with numbers, highly organized and detail-oriented, please consider applying or spread the word. The deadline is Thursday, May 19.

Congratulations to Shawn Montique (Applied Media and Communication Arts '18), who was featured by CTV Atlantic News for his new business, Gloria’s International Grocery. Shawn’s store opened earlier this month at 200 Portland St., Dartmouth, and it's believed to be the first dedicated Caribbean grocery store in Atlantic Canada.

P.S. Well done to the alumni who competed at the 2022 Nova Scotia Skills Competition! Join us as we cheer on Team Nova Scotia at Nationals in Vancouver, May 24-28. Keep an eye on Skills Canada-Nova Scotia and Skills Canada’s Facebook page to follow the competition.
