Join your NSCC community at a Pride Parade

Your NSCC community is marching in various Pride parades across the province from June to August and you’re invite to join us! No matter if you identify as 2SLGBTQ+ or as an ally, Pride parades are a time to come together as a community to promote understanding, love and connection for one and all. Parade and registration details are below.

Parade walking tips

  • Use sun protection
  • Wear comfortable shoes
  • Bring water to stay hydrated
  • We encourage you to bring umbrellas, hats and other fun accessories that promotes Pride and inclusivity

Amherst Pride Parade - June 17

Amherst’s parade is this Saturday, June 17. Join the NSCC crew at Victoria Square around 1 pm to prepare for the parade. There will be NSCC signs/posters available, please note quantities are limited. Email  to RSVP.

Truro Pride Parade and Fun Day - June 24

On June 24, Truro Pride Parade is taking place from 1 - 2 pm at the Colchester Legion Stadium, followed by Family Fun Day from 12 - 5 pm in the Civic Square. Walkers should arrive at the Stadium by 12:30 pm. Some pride accessories will be available for use. Email  to RSVP.

Annapolis Royal Pride Parade - July 8

There are Annapolis Royal Pride activities happening from July 7-9 with the parade taking place at 1 pm on July 8. Email  by June 29 to RSVP. Darren will send an email to those registered with more information about the meeting time and location closer to the parade.

Bridgewater Pride Parade - July 9

Lunenburg County Pride is organizing Bridgewater's first-ever Pride Parade, happening at 2 pm on July 9. All NSCC staff, alumni and students (current or incoming for September 2023) are invited. Participants will meet at 1 pm in the Lunenburg Campus’ parking lot. Please email  if you're interested in taking part.

Halifax Pride Parade - July 23

On July 23, all are welcome to participate on the NSCC float and walking group. Email  and  to confirm your participation and for more information.

Sydney Pride Parade - August 5

The Sydney Pride Parade is happening on Saturday, August 5 at 12 pm. Email  to RSVP and please include your t-shirt size. Kara will email information about a meeting location closer to the event, and the details will be shared on the NSCC Marconi Facebook page.
