Sustainable Entrepreneurship in Tourism Program - Grenada
Summary
This global skills opportunity will provide an opportunity for NSCC and TA Marryshow Community College (TAMCC) students and employees to participate jointly in a one-week program in Grenada learning about sustainability, entrepreneurship and eco-tourism in the region. The students will work together in small groups and visit several entrepreneurs on the island who focus on a variety of different kinds of eco-tourism. The visits will provide students with a better understanding of sustainability practices in Grenada and an overall sense of the importance of entrepreneurship and tourism.
NSCC and TAMCC students will be given a sustainability challenge and work together to find a solution based on information gathered through the site visits to service providers. The final project will have the groups present on their solution to the challenge in front of a panel of judges and a winner will be selected. Students will spend one week in country on the project in May of 2024.
