Important dates and deadlines

Fee deadlines for campus housing align with the academic calendar.

Application dates and deadlines for 2026/2027 Academic year 

  • March 2, 2026 (12pm AST) - Housing applications open for Akerley, Annapolis Valley - Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS), Ivany, Pictou, Strait Area and Truro campuses.
  • May 4, 2026 – First round of offers for campus housing will be sent out via email and the housing portal. All other applicants will be added to our waitlist.
    • If you've been accepted into campus housing, you’ll receive details on your space (e.g., type of room) via correspondence to the email address you provided in your application.
    • Your campus housing deposit and signed agreements are due 3 weeks after your offer is sent to you. This offer and all responses will be through our application portal. To confirm your campus housing offer, you will be required to execute all action in the application portal.
  • After May 4, 2026 – Campus housing admissions will be offered as they become available.

2026 Spring Term application dates and deadlines (current NSCC students) 

  • February 19 2026 – Spring Term applications open for Akerley, Annapolis Valley - Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS), Ivany, Pictou, Strait Area and Truro campuses.
  • March 6, 2026 – First round of offers for the 2026 Spring Term. All offers after March 6th will be subject to availability.
  • April 10, 2026 – Spring term fees are due.
  • April 12, 2026 – Spring Term application closes.
  • April 21, 2026 – Spring Term Campus Housing move-in day.

Room assignments and roommates

Students are notified of their room assignments and roommates in August, after the first term housing fees are received.

Campus housing room transfers will not be considered during the first 2 weeks of each academic term, except for changes required for medical reasons. Room transfers are based on the merit of the request and are not first come, first considered. Offers will be made to help resolve specific issues, not accommodate personal preferences.
