Sustainable Horizons - Grenada
Summary
This immersive international learning experience engages students and faculty in exploring sustainability in action within the Caribbean context. T.A. Marryshow Community College welcomes you to Grenada —an island nation recognized for its commitment to renewable energy, marine conservation, and sustainable tourism. The program invites participants to connect theory with practice through direct collaboration with local businesses, NGOs, and community organizations.
Using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) as a guiding framework, students will examine real-world sustainability challenges across economic, environmental, and social dimensions. Each site visit and interaction will lead to a themed “Sustainability Challenge”—a hands-on task requiring students to analyze an issue, develop practical solutions, and present their ideas to local stakeholders.
