Studying abroad at NSCC was a life changing experience for me. Leaving Kenya helped me overcome my fear and gain confidence in my future career in culinary arts and Food and Beverage Management. One of my favorite moments was attending the Devour Food Festival in Wolfville. There I watched professional chefs prepare local and creative dishes and beverages. The event gave me a deeper understanding of Canadian food culture and the hospitality industry. This experience taught me to take risks, believe in myself, step out of my comfort zone, and grow both personally and professionally.
