Help protect the environment

You can help solve the world's most pressing environmental challenges by harnessing the power of environmental geomatics.

If you have a background in geography, geology, archaeology, forestry, or another related ecological science, geomatics training gives you the next level of knowledge. You can take what you learn at COGS and help protect the health of the planet.

Using geographic information systems, mapping, surveying, geospatial analysis and computerized modelling, geomatics professionals examine the distribution of flora and fauna, the activity of endangered species, the effectiveness of watershed management initiatives and the impact of human activity on the environment.

This information is then used to conduct ecological surveillance programs, biological assessments and environmental impact studies. It’s also applied to industry guidelines and governmental policies that steer the management of the earth’s finite resources.

Turn your passion for a healthy earth into an impactful career.
