Project/Initiative

SASTEP 02 is a thematic partnership project led by a Canadian consortium in collaboration with 15 publicly funded TVET institutions in South Africa's Limpopo and Eastern Cape provinces.

While progress has been made in gender representation and GBV policy development, gaps remain in the areas of disability inclusion, policy enforcement, and support services.

The  initiative is designed to strengthen institutional capacity support improving the capacity of Limpopo and Eastern Cape colleges to address and ensure gender equity and inclusion in the classroom and on campus.

  • Provide training on inclusive education, supporting at-risk students, students with disabilities and those with invisible disabilities. Provide targeted training programs including gender equity disability sensitivity training for staff, capacity building;
