Michelle Doucette's Story
I am filled with a mix of nostalgia and happiness as I reflect upon my recent adventure in Tanzania. The journey to this East African gem allowed me to experience the captivating Maasai and Meru cultures while also inspiring students to explore entrepreneurship.
Spending time in cultural villages, I witnessed the wonderful spirit and customs of the incredible people I met along the way. Their distinctive clothing, vibrant beadwork, and deep connection with nature, along with their strong desire to share their culture, was joyfully overwhelming.
One of the highlights of my journey was the opportunity to contribute to the empowerment of young Tanzanians as budding entrepreneurs. Witnessing the passion and creativity of these students as they connected with each other and developed their small businesses was absolutely inspiring.
Reflecting on my Tanzanian adventure, I am reminded of the immense value of travel and cultural exploration. Through interactions with the communities in Tanzania, I learned the importance of preserving traditions and respecting the environment. Witnessing the transformation in the students has reinforced my belief in the power of education and empowerment to create positive change.
My adventure in Tanzania was an incredible chapter in my life, filled with unforgettable memories and personal growth, it allowed me to build connections, challenge my perspectives, and gain a deeper appreciation for the world around me.
