The Director of Operations Technology and Product Development's primary role is identifying and exploring machines, processes, safety, and environmental improvements for all machines and business operations Rercircle engages in.
They will be responsible for reducing environmental impacts and applying sustainable principles, such as conducting internal audits on Recircle’s environmental impact through a scientific and mathematical lens. They will collaborate with the chemistry, engineering and innovation teams with the support of St.FX to develop and test adaptations to the existing recycling process while implementing sustainable products with long life cycles.
They will attempt to find the most efficient and sustainable ways to collect, clean, sort, and process plastic and other natural resources. They will also be responsible for product research, design, and the execution of the new products added to Recircle’s arsenal.
The Director of Operations Technology and Product Development will manage, promote and endorse the Recircle through whatever medium it is presented and is responsible for growing the digital audience for Recircle.
Applicants must possess general knowledge in AutoCAD and Visio, with a willingness to learn Inventor and Trello if not already familiar
This is a Gradworks Funded position. Applicants must have graduated from the NSCC Industrial Engineering Diploma within the past 24 months.
