Role Description

Performs inspections of components and assemblies to assess product conformity to internal and customer requirements utilizing approved inspection test plans. Ensure product conforms to documented internal and customer requirements before shipment to the customer. Conduct reviews to ensure product paperwork is complete and accurate prior to release of product to the customer.Perform periodic process checks to ensure compliance with internal and customer requirements. 

In this role, you will:

Conduct in-process and final inspections to determine product conformity and record inspection results.

Authorize the release of conforming parts at final inspection to the customer.

Identify and control non-conforming products.

Use standard metrology equipment (i.e., calipers, micrometers, and height gauges etc.) Read and understand engineering drawings, models and specifications.

Read, interpret, and adhere to quality procedures and technical documents.

Transport product using the appropriate method to the next operation or location.

Complete inspection test plans and generate quality records.

Review and validate production build records and associated paperwork for completion and accuracy.

Ensure proper sign-off(s) and all quality documents are accurate and maintained throughout the manufacturing process.

Support investigations to resolve quality issues identified internally or by the customer.

Provide monitoring and oversight of delegated inspectors.

Use the ERP system to electronically process inspections.  

Work with a team, share expertise, and follow instructions to accomplish established goals.

Qualifications

You will have: 

Grade 12 or GED

2 years QA/QC inspection or related experience preferred.

Post-secondary education in a technical field considered an asset.

Experience with ISO standards and/or equivalent quality, military, or government standards considered an asset.

Working knowledge of AS9100 or related aerospace experience is considered an asset. 

Proficient with Microsoft products (i.e. Word, Excel, etc.)

Excellent communication skills with co-workers, supervisors and customersSolution-oriented, self-motivated, with ability to multi-task and excellent organization skills

Accept and reject parts inspected using approved inspection plans and specifications.
